Thai massage is unique and interactive. It combines elements of yoga, acupressure, and range of motion. The therapist uses their hands, therapist, elbows, knees, and feet to thumbs apply pressure, rhythmic compressions, rocking motions, stretching, and yoga-like movements. Thai is typically performed fully clothed. Wear something loose and comfortable. The session is done on a memory foam Thai Mat with pillows and blankets in a peaceful environment.
During your session, your therapist will guide you into different positions including your back, stomach, and side. They assist in gentle stretching and movements that allow the therapist to access muscles and joints in a different way than massage therapy can. Pressure varies depending on your preferences. It can range from gentle to firm so be sure to communicate during session.
All sessions are custom tailored for you. Every nervous system is different so it is best to work with your massage therapist to determine what pressure or stretch feels good to you in that moment. Pressure can be adjusted throughout with a quick thumbs up or down. All stretches will be done according to your current flexibility. You do NOT need to be flexible already but we can improve it. Movement helps the massage therapist to find where restrictions are in real time and work to improve them.
If you are uncertain about your health condition, please reach out. It is important to stay safe and healthy. In cases of fever or infectious illnesses, including a cold, it is best to avoid coming in. Additionally, it is recommended to wait for at least 6 weeks after any surgery, and obtain clearance from a medical professional if you have undergone radiation treatment.
I am capable of working with various conditions such as scoliosis, arthritis, carpal tunnel, low back pain, sports injuries, postural problems, and stress-related pain such as headaches, neck and shoulder tension, or jaw pain. I am also able to provide assistance during pregnancy at any stage.
Extended sessions can have longer-lasting positive effects compared to shorter sessions. They promote deeper relaxation, leading to improved sleep, reduced anxiety, and increased sense of calmness. Moreover, longer sessions facilitate targeted pain relief by working on specific areas more thoroughly. They also promote better blood circulation and lymphatic flow, which contributes to faster healing, reduced inflammation, and overall well-being. Additionally, extended sessions enhance muscle relaxation and flexibility, leading to improved muscle function, range of motion, and reduced tightness. Let's work together to determine the ideal duration and frequency of sessions that best meet your unique needs and objectives.
The2.5-hour Thai is a great way to start your journey towards pain relief.
The frequency of therapy sessions can differ based on individual goals. For those experiencing chronic pain, a weekly or bimonthly session can be a good starting point until desired outcomes are achieved. Afterward, a monthly or quarterly session as needed. A therapist will assist in developing a plan following the initial session.
After ten years of experience my clients are amazed that I can go straight to the area causing their problem.

In order for us to have a successful session, it's important to remember a few things. You have the option to speak or remain silent during the session, and either of us can end the session at any time for any reason. Most importantly, clear communication is essential for a positive experience. Each person's nervous system processes information differently, so please let me know if something feels good. It's important to note that any discomfort should be a positive sensation, as unpleasant sensations may result in additional pain later on.
Beth moved to Moore County on 8/20/23. Her parents have lived here for 25 years. Her step dad is retired from Culdee Presbyterian Church in West End and her mom is a retired microbiologist. She has always loved this area and visited it frequently when she lived in Halifax, Nc outside of Rocky Mount. Beth trained for massage in Tallahassee, Fl, and spent 11 years in Georgia in the Valdosta area (where hurricane Idalia just went through). Beth has worked for chiropractors and Day Spas until she was able to open up her own practice closer to home. Ending pain is her passion and Thai massage is her favorite tool.
